The Formation of the Tribe
For years, they grew separately, each a champion in their own field. But one day, a great festival was held to celebrate the region's art and bounty. As the villagers painted intricate Madhubani designs on their walls, a wise elder had a vision.
"Why enjoy these gifts alone?" she said. "The lightness of makhana, the strength of maize, and the joy of banana—together, they are the true spirit of our land."
Inspired by her words and the vibrant patterns around them, Mak-Z, Mai-Z, and Ban-Z came together. They vowed to share the authentic taste and heritage of their home with the world. They called themselves "The Z Tribe."
Their mission was simple: to bring the ancient goodness of Bihar's fields to modern snackers, not by frying away their natural power, but by slowly roasting them to perfection, locking in their true flavour and nutrients.
Today, whenever you open a pack of Popana, you aren't just having a snack. You are joining The Z Tribe on a journey back to the roots of Mithila, celebrating a legacy of art, culture, and the pure, roasted crunch of the earth.
